Mbielu-mbielu-mbielu means "The animal with planks growing out of its back."
It is not known exactly what type of animal Mbielu-mbielu-mbielu is. Though
from its name and description its possible it could be some type of living Stegosaur.
This animal could also be the same as Mokele-mbembe
or Nguma-monene. There have been
no descriptions of planks on the Mokele-mbembe
, though there are features that Mbielu-mbielu-mbielu has in common with Nguma-monene
so they could be one and the same.

Body
Has large planks coming out of its back. The natives say these planks are not
the same as the serrated ridges of a crocodile or some lizards.
The natives could not give an accurate description of the body, head, tail,
and feet because the animal was submerged in water and these parts could not
seen, only the planks could be seen.
Skin
A green algal growth occurs on the planks and back of the animal.

Habitat
Likouala swap region of the Republic of Congo on the continent of Africa. Lives
in the rivers and lakes of the area.
