The William M. Rebsamen Gallery

Arkansas wildlife artist William M. Rebsamen studied as a teenager under renown Arkansas wildlife artist Susan Morrison and was introduced to airbrush by Robert David Walters who is known for many of the spectacular murals at Sea World in California.

While attaining a Bachelors in Fine Arts degree at the Kansas City Art Institute, he was fortunate to have instruction in drawing and printmaking under Professor William McKim, a traditional naturalist. Rebsamen's work reflects a multitude of technique and training. His goal in every painting is to capture the personality, not just the visual image, of each animal.

Bill has worked with Ducks Unlimited of Arkansas and after becoming popular doing sporting dogs he began doing Pet Portraits. Because of his interest in cryptozoology and the desire to educate others about the authenticity of cryptozoology as a true endeavor of science and zoology, he has begun to illustrate the possible appearance of unknown animals. He is creating original cryptozoology artwork for this site and for projects with Dr. Karl Shuker.
